Updated September 2026
There is no reliable flat price or universal timeline for company formation in Egypt. The total depends on the entity, capital, activity, founder nationalities, foreign documents and required licences.
Cost components
- Formation, registry and professional-body fees.
- Capital-linked charges where applicable.
- Foreign legalisation and certified translation.
- Legal, accounting and governance work.
- Tax, social insurance, electronic signature and licensing steps.
Three different timelines
- Document preparation and overseas legalisation.
- GAFI formation service after a complete file.
- Operational readiness after tax, banking and licensing.
Official service time for a completed formation file may be short, but this should not be confused with the total time needed to prepare foreign documents and obtain regulated-activity approvals.
Common delays
Incomplete powers of attorney, inconsistent names, missing prior approvals, expired parent-company extracts and unsuitable premises are frequent causes.
